Revered member of the Portland music scene, Marilyn Keller, Vocal Instrument, inducted into the Jazz Society of Oregon’s Hall of Fame. (2016). Marilyn excels in jazz, ragtime, dixieland, R&B, pop, blues, and gospel. A lady not to be missed on your tour of the Northwest’s best singers. Marilyn has been leading the seminal Gospel/Jazz Worship Service at Augustana Lutheran Church for 29 years. A career that has extended to tours in Europe and Australia, her magical vocals have appeared on movie soundtracks, numerous recordings, commercials and documentary narratives. Marilyn’s vocals have been called mesmerizing, flawless, emotional and ethereal.
Marilyn’s versatility with the Great American Songbook is unparalleled. Her vocals are pitch perfect and are delivered with uncanny timing, precision, and boundless enthusiasm. She is the consummate jazz professional.
About the Band
After Six combines the musical talents of some of the finest jazz musicians in the Northwest. After Six as been entertaining the region with the music of Ellington, Gershwin, Arlen, Mercer, Rogers, Hefti and many other jazz and blues luminaries for 25 years. Our band members exhibit extraordinary improvisational musicianship at both public and private venues.
